A research-center in cognitive systems and ontology. Our guiding idea is that theories developed between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th in the area we may broadly term "Mitteleuropean" could offer positive hints to the development of contemporary science.

Mitteleuropa Foundation has been established in Bolzano, North Italy, in February 2002. A number of events organized during the period 1987-2001 paved the way to the Foundation. See the Past Events page for information on some of the previous events.

The premises of the Foundation are situated in an ancient building, recently refurbished, located in the medieval center of the town, endowed with a specialized library, actually under construction, offices, computer facilities and study-rooms.
